Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk regularly compiles and maintains accounts payable records.
Essential Functions of the Position
- Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.
- Prepares invoice deduction notices as necessary.
- Answers vendor inquiries.
- Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors.
- Prepares accounts payable ready for processing.
- Compiles accounts payable reports.
- Maintains all accounts payable files.
- Prepares analysis of accounts.
- Assists in monthly closings.
- Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
- Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: associate degree preferred but not required
- Experience using Excel.
- Experience: 2-5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Security Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
